  3. How to setup different non-member income categories (income heads) in the society accounting module?

Societies do receive income from sources other the members at times. Income such as advertisements, stall revenue, rentals, FD interest etc. ApnaComplex offers you the flexibility to create your own income heads for these purposes in the society accounting module.

Please follow below procedure to setup non member income (NMI) charge categories into system.

Go to Accounting->Setup, click on “Setup Non Member Income Charge Categories” link , and click on “Add new categories”, enter category names in text box and click on “Add Categories”.

The system creates necessary GL accounts when a NMI categeory is created. By default all the non-member income accounts are tagged under ‘Non-Member Income’ account group. If you want to change this and re-group under a different heading, you can do that by going to Accounting->Chart of Accounts and editing the NMI account.
