  3. How to add a penalty charge for the defaulters?

There are different ways to calculate penalty charges for defaulters. Listed below are the steps on how to add a penalty charge for defaulters:

Step 1: Click on ‘Income’ and then click on ‘Member Income’

Step 2: Click on ‘Manage Penalty’

Step 3: Click on ‘Add Penalty Scheme’

Step 4: At first, in the first box you have to select charges for penalty calculation and then the right box is for charges which are to be excluded from the penalty calculation

Step 5: Enter the ‘Penalty Scheme Name’, Enter the ‘Penalty Description’ and enter ‘Penalty Charge Type’

Step 6: You can calculate the penalty based on:

  • Per overdue day – Penalty would be based on number of overdue days (Per Overdue Day)
  • One time – Penalty would be based on the amount calculated once (one time)
  • Percentage – Penalty should be calculated on the percentage of charge/due amount
  • Fixed amount – Penalty should be calculated on a fixed amount basis
  • Per Sqft basis – Penalty should be calculated on per sqft basis

Step 7: Select the ‘Charge Type’ and enter the minimum amount due for the penalty

Step 8: Enter the minimum and maximum amount due for applying the penalty

Step 9: Mention the from and to date

Step 10: Enter the minimum penalty amount. If required round it off to the nearest value. And click on ‘Save and Calculate’ to calculate the penalty
